" Will The Real Church Please Stand Up"

Some years ago there was a day time game show that came on television. There was a panel of people that asked questions to about three or four people about their life, well the panels job was to ask the questions to the guest and determine who answered  the question the most convincingly to determine who the real person was.

 Each panel member would ask each guest a question based on information the host had given which related to the real person's life. After all the questions and answers the panel would chose the person they thought was the real person based on how they answered the questions.

 The host would then ask would the real John Doe (what ever the name was) please stand up, the guest would begin to fake one by one back and forth to pretend to stand up and finally the real person would stand up, the name of the show was

 "To Tell The Truth"

.The Lord gave a message to me in the eighties ," Will the real Church please stand up"

There have been a lot of faking to the point the sinners don't' hardly know what the Gospel is all about. I was at a church  and a young man noticed the Pastor dressed nice and drove a Mercedes ,this young man told his dad he wanted to be a pastor so he can have those things. Is this what the church has become, that the focus is not on Jesus but on material things?

 The Lord  said in Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

When this scripture is normally stated we are telling the sinners ,the Lord is knocking on the door of your heart, well if you go back and read it Jesus is really speaking to the Church of La-od-i-ce'-ans, the Lord is really trying to awaken the church out of it's sleep.

The letters in Revelation where written to the seven churches at that time (seven different locations not seven denominations,-to take a side note: in math the word denominator is used in division which is exactly what denominations is, a division. The word say's "Is Christ divided?" well the answer to that is no, so man made denominations which has divided the body of Christ to satisfy someone's personal ,private interpretation)

The bible say's in the last time darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people, but  The Lord Jesus desire to shine  upon you, the  people of God. Don't 'you realize that the world is only a reflection of the church? ,Jesus said to  his followers at that time that "you are the salt of the earth" salt is used for various reason but perhaps the most noted is to change the taste of food.

 We as the believers in Christ are to make a difference in the taste the world has, Jesus said if the salt has lost his savor, or taste  or it's ability to change the flavor  it is good for nothing  no more than sand, to be walked on. Could this be the reason the Church in America is now being walked on? because  it has lost it's ability to influence the world?

It appear the church is being more influenced by the world instead of the world being  influenced in the things of The Lord by the church, for the most part the church has become like the world and this should not be.

 In the book of Revelation the Angel of the Lord gave messages to each Church to let them know what area's they where falling short, he told them because he loved them ,not because a fault finding spirit came on him. It  was not something John wrote while on an island because he got bored, old  and senile, but Jesus wanted the churches to be ready for the last time, these are the last time and the alarm is still being sounded.

The world  brings it's ungodly thoughts and ideas to the church and to be politically correct and to please  the world (more about numbers than anything) we accept the world ways and plans.

The church as a whole today is the most financially prosperous of all times, yet it's ability to reach the world is less. Is it because we are more concerned with what we can get and saying the harvest can wait? In revelation Jesus message again to the La-od-i-ce'-ans was (Revelation 3:17) "Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou may be rich, and white raiment, that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear: and anoint thy eyes with eye salve, that you may see. as many as I love, I rebuke and chasten, be zealous therefore ,and repent.

 Jesus said he was  the light of the world ,in another place he told his followers you are the light of the world.

Now don't get me wrong ,the Lord will  bless his people but the Gospel is not about material gain, the Lord never said go preach money and gain but preach him to the end of the world. People let us get our focus back on why we are in the ministry and saved, to reach a world for Christ, and not preaching about us and me and our, it's about Jesus, not a humanistic gospel.

Yes Christians we are the light of the world and our light should not be hidden but where men can see it (not with a sign or wwjd) but with a Godly life style.

Yes' we are the light of the world, we are  reflections of the light of Jesus .When you think of the sun, it is a light for  the world, think of the moon, it is a light for the world. During the sixties man landed on the moon, no one has attempted to land on the sun.

The sun is a massive ball of energy that gives light but the moon reflects the sun's light by night, it does not produce light of itself but reflects the  sun's light. Well that is what we Christians are ,a reflection of the light of Jesus (SON). For without him we can do nothing, No mater  how the Father use us ,how anointed, always remember it is Jesus light reflecting upon us that we might be the light of the world.

While Jesus was in the world he was the light of the world, now you are the light of the world, let your light so shine that men may see your good work and glorify your  Father in Heaven.

Just as Jesus healed ,and yokes where destroyed ,he will do the same work through us, but remember it is not for your glory or honor, many times Jesus would heal someone and would say, "tell no man", today we would say bring the camera's and satellite and internet so they can see me.

You know  why Jesus healed ? It wasn't to get a bigger offering ,or to get more air time or a bigger building but it was because he had compassion on the people. You really want to see a real move of God?, allow God's compassion for his creation, mankind be revealed in your heart and you will surely see a real move of God.
